Nevermore Academy is no longer Wednesday’s playground alone. This year, the institution has been transformed into a fully functional playground for the Addams family. Pugsley is a student, while Morticia is a regular visitor, in addition to Gomez, who can barely contain his excitement whenever he is in the institution. Catherine Zeta-Jones returns as Morticia, whose position at Nevermore puts her in constant contact with Wednesday. Their mother-daughter dynamic is the emotional anchor of the season. The school, however, appears to come alive as ever. Steve Buscemi makes his first appearance as the mysterious Principal Barry Dort, as well as Billie Piper as the passionate head of music, the werewolf Isadora Capri. Joined by familiar protagonists such as Enid Sinclair and Bianca Barclay, a fresh lineup of supernatural protagonists, including the moody werewolf Bruno, joins the mix.
