The filming of Top Gun was basically one big frat party before the movie made Tom Cruise a superstar. Besides the flight crew, Val Kilmer was definitely leading the set into a riot. Kilmer was never without his video camera, and he documented every ridiculous moment, including fake calls and pranks on unsuspecting castmates. The fun got so out of hand that the production eventually gave up the effort of trying to control them. Jennifer Lawrence was not just fighting for survival on the screen-her castmates made a real-life game out of her off the screen. In her trailer, Josh Hutcherson frightened her extremely, Jeffrey Wright covered her area with insects, and Woody Harrelson, with a bloody April Fools’ prank, completed the trio. Throughout it all, Lawrence remained the ultimate good sport, laughing her way through the madness like the victor she is.

8. Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of Pranks

Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan, who played Merry and Pippin in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, were the main characters of mischief in Middle-earth. Their antics on the set became legendary: they changed the props, surprised their co-stars, and made the longest shooting days hilarious. By putting Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill together in a baseball movie on the set, you won’t just have stats and scouting drama. Pitt was “customizing” Hill’s golf cart into the notorious “Wham! 6. Batman v Superman: Bat-Branding the Man of Steel

The rivalry between Batman and Superman that Ben Affleck took to a new level, funnily enough. He transformed Henry Cavill’s trailer in full Dark Knight style with Bat-signs and posters, etc. When Cavill arrived, he saw the converted Batcave shrine. The fight scene message was clear: in the showdown, Batman is always the winner.

Aubrey Plaza doesn’t just play a deadpan prankster-she is one. During filming, she bought a creepy “toilet goblin” and hid it in Adam Scott’s trailer. The result? A bloodcurdling scream and a Parks and Rec legend. Plaza later admitted it was her proudest prank-and honestly, no one doubts it.

Barry Tubb, the actor who was Wolfman’s role, decided to exchange the Navy training film for an X-rated VHS, mid-briefing, thus causing the famous “This gives me a hard-on” line that was actually filmed.
