PlayStation’s Best Deals Yet Arrive with Days of Play 2025

PlayStation’s Days of Play 2025 is officially underway, and it’s shaping up to be one of Sony’s most exciting sales events to date. If you’ve been thinking about picking up a PS5 or upgrading your gaming setup, now’s the time. The discounts are some of the best we’ve seen across consoles, accessories, and games.

Let’s take a closer look at what makes this year’s Days of Play stand out.

Major Hardware Discounts

The biggest headline? The PS5 Pro is finally seeing its first major price drop. Sony has knocked $50 off in the US, bringing it down to $650. In Europe, the Pro is now €749.99, with both Sony’s store and retail partners offering the deal. If you’ve been waiting for the right time to grab the most powerful PlayStation yet, this is it.

There are also significant cuts on the PS5 Slim variants. In Europe, both the Standard and Digital versions have €100 off, putting them at €449.99 and €399.99, respectively. In the US, the Standard version retails for $449, while the Digital version retails for $399—their all-time lowest prices.

The discounts don’t stop there with accessories. The PSVR2 headset is discounted by $50 to $100, depending on your region, with the lowest price at $449 in the US and €399.99 in Europe. Bundles that include Horizon Call of the Mountain are also on sale, making now a great time to step into VR. DualSense controllers start at €54.99, and other accessories like the Pulse Explore earbuds, the DualSense Edge, and the PlayStation Access controller are being offered at discounted prices.

PlayStation Plus Perks

Sony is also launching special perks for PlayStation Plus members. When you purchase a PS5 or PSVR2 from PlayStation directly and subscribe to PS Plus, you’ll receive 12 months of Netflix Premium for free—a perk that’s worth almost $276.

There are discounts on PS Plus subscriptions themselves, too. Annual plans are discounted up to 30 percent: Essential is discounted by 20 percent, Extra by 25 percent, and Premium receives the full 30 percent discount. Better still, they stack on top of existing memberships.

The PS Plus Game Catalog is also receiving an update. New titles added are Another Crab’s Treasure, Skull and Bones, Destiny 2: Legacy Collection, and Grand Theft Auto III. Premium and Deluxe members will also receive access to vintage titles Myst and Riven, and trials for future games, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and Civilization VII.

PS Plus monthly games are also shaping up well, with NBA 2K25, Alone in the Dark, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, and Destiny 2: The Final Shape available. Players of NBA 2K25 can also participate in special PlayStation Tournaments with rewards such as in-game currency and avatars.

Game Sales and Highlights

No PlayStation event would be complete without massive game discounts—and Days of Play 2025 has it in spades. Hundreds of PS4 and PS5 downloadable games are discounted by up to 60 percent, with limited-time flash sales dropping 85 percent off for some titles.

There are Sony’s blockbusters too. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is $49.69, the digital deluxe edition is $59.99, and the collector’s edition—complete with a 19-inch Venom statue—is $149.99, a whopping $80 savings. Other high-profile titles such as Lego Horizon Adventures, Astro Bot, and The Last of Us Part II Remastered are also discounted.

Popular third-party games are priced discount as well. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth costs $52.49, MLB The Show 24 begins at $49.69, and WWE 2K24 is $52.49 for the standard edition. The 40 Years of WrestleMania Edition, filled with additional content, can be found for $89.99.

Sony Pictures Core and Entertainment Deals

Entertainment consumers are not left behind. Sony Pictures Core, the streaming application on PS4 and PS5, is giving discounts on its movie library. Members of PS Plus receive an additional 10 percent off all titles, and flash sales changing every few days offer even steeper bargains.

Timing and Value

With reports that Sony is considering future hardware price hikes due to tariffs—and Microsoft already raising Xbox prices—these discounts couldn’t come at a better time. For anyone on the fence about buying a PS5 or upgrading to a Pro model, this is likely the best opportunity you’ll get in a while.

Whether you’re buying a console, getting into VR, or stocking up on games, Days of Play 2025 is providing some of the largest discounts Sony has ever made available. The sale lasts until June 11, so you’ve still got time to stock up on what you require before the sale ends.
